Block-a-palooza

Heritage Designs is participating in a new shop hop event called Block-a-palooza that runs the entire month of September. Visit the official Block-a-palooza website for details about the event (rules, giving efforts, and prizes), be sure to download or print the free block pattern you will need in order to participate .

You can be a part of the generous giving efforts supported by this event, patronize quality independent quilt shops, and win some awesome prizes in the process!

Heritage Designs has decided to add an additional giving option for blocks turned into our shop during Block-a-palooza (more info below). When turning in blocks to Heritage Designs please specify if you would like them to go to Safe Haven of Iowa County or TLC Quilters of Algona, IA. 

As a special effort for Block-a-palooza, Heritage Designs has chosen to partner Safe Haven of Iowa County, our local no-kill animal shelter, to help create quilts to raffle to raise money for their animal rescue and care efforts. 

We are requesting brightly colored blocks with light/neutral backgrounds for Safe Haven.  When you visit the shop check out the block kits we have available to get you started! You can also use fabric from your stash to make blocks! 

You do not have to participate in the shop hop/prize portion of Block-a-palooza to donate blocks! If you just want to join in the giving, print the free pattern and start making blocks! Sharing your skill to benefit others is its own prize.
