QUILT AMANA PRE-SHOW EVENT

Our QUILT AMANA Pre Show Event will kick off with a family style meal at the Ox Yoke Inn. The meal includes fried chicken, ham and roast beef, all of the classic Amana family style sides and the Ox Yoke’s famous rhubarb streusel pie.
Following dinner our featured quilter, Jane Bazyn, and quilter and former pattern designer, Judy Rohret, will bring you “Old Traditions with a New Story”, an exclusive look at a beautiful, private collection of antique quilts. (These quilts are graciously on loan to us from Bonnie Phipps of Le Grand, Iowa, and will only be shown at the pre show dinner) They will delve into the pattern history of the various pieces in the collection and share with you the behind the scenes selection and research process that goes into the “Found” exhibition, an ongoing project of reproducing, finishing and telling the stories behind unique, unfinished, damaged or forgotten quilts. Jane and Judy will also show off some of their favorite pieces that helped jump start the “Found” project.
The pre show experience will finish with QUILT AMANA 2023 at Price Creek Event Center. Our quilters, vendors and staff will be on site to bring you the full show experience.
Tickets are $45, and include a weekend pass to QUILT AMANA, so you may revisit the show as much as you like the 14th – 16th.
